I wanted to make a quick blog post on the recent events relating to youtubers and sexual harassment. If you haven't heard Sam Pepper recently made a video called 'fake hand ass grabbing prank' or something like that where he went round grabbing girls for a 'prank'. When realising how hurtful, demeaning and damn right wrong his video was he then tried to cover it up with two more videos explaining how it was all part of a social experiment and that how if it was a boy this wouldn't have got the same attention it did. I fail to see how filming a video harassing girls will ever bring the right attention to it, and to then upload another one doing the same to boys completely amazes me because of how small minded someone can be. Since then Sam Pepper and other youtubers have been exposed over other sexual harassment incidents. I'm so disappointed with these youtubers. To think I used to watch people like Sam when he was a small channel, filming videos in his home in England, and to see how much authority he thinks he can have now because he's 'famous' really does shock me. It's saddened me to think that these are people that sooooo many young people idolise and that fans have still stood by him despite all the accusations. It makes me so angry to think that youtubers of all people have taken advantage of their platform and taken advantage of the power they have behind their channel and subscribers. However it has been a hot topic within the youtube community and it has made me so happy to see how many youtubers have stood against people like Sam by tweeting and making their opinions on the matter clear. Those are the youtubers that deserve the subscribers and support. Sam pepper has also been banned from various youtube against as he is 'not welcome there anymore' thankfully.

Expectations vs reality
Hi everyone:),
So lately I've been thinking about a lot of expectations that I've had in the past that haven't necessarily happened. I think as humans we have a lot of expectations for everything, whether that's to do with school and work or even things like having expectations for a time of year like summer or Christmas. Of course we're gonna have an expectation for most things, but i find it a lil weird how a lot of things don't live up to them expectations and in reality turn out a lot different.
For example when going into secondary school i thought the whole school would be full of bullies and that the work load would be intensely hard. I also expected that everything would be really difficult and that i wouldn't be able to cope with the stress of that. However yes you do get the odd bully, a lot of the time in secondary school everyone would rather just keep themselves to themselves instead of trying to harass others! And yes the work does get difficult, but teachers know how to balance things with other subjects, especially in years 10 and 11 so the work load will never be impossible to get done, and as long as you revise you'll be fine:)
I myself have a lot of expectations for summer every year. At the start of summer this year i expected to be going out every day, doing different things like going to the beach and parties etc but in reality that never happens and i just end up doing similar things everyday.
I also have expectations of myself. Like i expect myself to always complete work on time, and to do things like homework the night i get it. Sometimes when I'm feeling motivated (hardly ever) i expect myself to eat healthily and exercise 24/7. But in reality i get tired really easily and end up just sleeping whenever i get home from a long day or procrastinating everything because i'm too lazy to do anything straight away.

Don't set your expectations too high because sometimes it can lead too disappointment. But when it comes to your expectations of yourself, just do your best and you can achieve anything:)

20 things that make me happy
Hi everyone:),
For this blog post I wanted to focus on positive things, (in my opinion anyway) as summer is sadly coming to an end. It got me thinking as to what actually makes me happy and what I surround myself with that cheers me up! I thought by also writing this post it enables anyone that's reading to get a better idea of who we are as bloggers as we don't use any personal accounts!
I've decided to write 20 things with an explanation and picture with some of them that make me especially happy. So here goes;
1) Tumblr
2) Coffee - (i think this has become a slight addiction now as i don't go a day without it)
3) Friends/family - surrounding yourself with people that you actually enjoy spending time with and people you don't have to impress will make you A LOT happier than if you're trying to be something your not with people that don't really care
4)Twitter
5) Writing blog posts
Although we've only just started this blog I've really enjoyed writing blog posts so far and I'm sure i will continue to:)
6) Iain from the Great British Bake Off. If you aren't from the UK you most likely will have no idea what GBBO is, but for those of you who do know, Iain got voted out the show by the judges because of unfair sabotage:( (it got proved that it wasn't Diana's fault but i still blame her) ANYWAY, we love him so much and want him back on the show.
COME ON LOOK AT THAT BEARD
7) Photography
I took this as an option for GCSE because i didn't like anything else that i could choose, and my god it was the best decision I've made. I love taking photos and decorating my book, and its probably the only coursework i enjoy doing:)
8)Music
9) Sun/having a tan
10)PUGS - if you know me you'll know i love pugs to absolute pieces. It sounds sad but i own a few pug tops, socks and slippers because i love them that much.
11)Burning candles
12) Bath Bombs - i love having these for decoration and for the smell. BUT when i actually do use them in the bath i get super excited waiting to see the colour of the water etc
(Here's my collection. I like having them on show so decided to use a cake stand as a holder.)
13) Youtube/ youtubers (especially velvetgh0st)
14) Favourite celebrities; Kanye West, James Franco and Leonardo Dicaprio
15) Watching the Kardashians
16) Rain/storms (contradicts what i said about sun but i love a good storm!)
17) Going on holiday
18) Airports and going on planes (as long as the journey isn't too long)
19) Cyprus - it's literally like my second home now, and i wish i could just live there for a year or something because its just paradise to me.
20) Cats- this has only become a recent love of mine but now i can't go past a cat without trying to stroke it. When i was on holiday a cat followed us home one night and stayed with us for the whole week, so we looked after him and i became so attached to him that i cried when i left him:( (love you Harold x)
There you go, i hope this helps to understand us a little better! Let us know what makes you happy in the comments below:)

My current favourite skincare products! August 2014.
Hi everyone!:),
As someone who goes through many daily struggles as a result of acne, I am on a constant search for one product which will make all my problems go away. But, as we all know, that product is impossible to find. (in drug stores anyway:))
I've chosen some products that I have been loving recently, both drug-store and high-end products, that have made my life a lot easier! :)
1 Garnier Pure Active Exfo Brusher Wash. RRP - £7.99
7/10
2 St Ives Blemish Fighting Facial Scrub. RRP - £4.29
I'm sure you've seen this product several times before. Being rated the UK's No.1 scrub brand, you literally cannot go wrong when buying a 'St. Ives' product. You can honestly see a difference in your skin the day after using this, and at such a good price, you don't regret your purchase at all :). Like the exfo brusher wash, you really need to moisturise you face afterwards, but that's what to be expected from any facial scrub. Personally, I use the 'Blemish fighting fighting scrub' as it is made specially for my skin type, but I am sure the others do an equally amazing job!:)
9/10
3 Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer. RRP - £13.50
This.Is.AMAZING!!! Words cannot even describe what wonders this has done for my skin. Every night, I take off my make-up with cleanser, toner, etc. but after applying this tonic spritzer, it removes a whole other layer of make-up you didn't even know you had applied!!! How?! It also smells greator maybe I have a slight addiction to any product that contains aloe vera.I normally wouldn't buy a high-end toner, but this is a product I will definitely be re-purchasing!
9/10
4 Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser. RRP - £14.99
I use this moisturiser along with the Liz Earle tonic spritzer mentioned above, as they both go together being similar smells. Before applying foundation, I use one pump of this product, and you can most definitely see the difference in how long your make-up lasts! Another thing about this moisturiser is that it will last you ages! Although it only comes in 50 ml bottles, I have been using this product for a couple of months now and it still is practically full!
These are just a handful of the products I've been using, and I'll be sure to keep you updated if I find any other treasures! Let me know in the comments your opinions on any of these products, as I would love to hear your experiences with them!:)

This is one of the most terrifying skin products I have ever seen in my life. At first, when I saw the huge plastic scrubbing brush, I thought it would literally rip my face apart (I was so wrong!) It acts as a facial wash, and an exfoliator at the same time, and it makes me so so so happy! Your skin feels so great after! The only negative is that your face is in desperate need of a moisturiser afterwards, but that can be easily taken care of :). All in all, a fabulous product that I would totally recommend!

Things I wish I knew before secondary school
Hi everyone!:)
Okay so recently I saw a blog post about ‘things I wish I knew
when I was 15’ and it got me thinking about things I wish I knew before
secondary school. I suddenly realised that there was actually quite a few
things that no one prepared me for or told me about that I now know, and I thought
it would be a good idea to share it with everyone.
The first thing I wish I was told is that not everyone is
going to like you. I know it sounds like quite a horrible concept but it’s
true. When I started secondary school I thought I was friends with so many people,
and I really believed that I’d have those friendships forever. But as you grow
up you change, and so do the people around you, whether you like it or not and
eventually you will lose a lot of those friendships. One thing you should know
and remember though, is that although you may argue with some friends and best friend/s,
you might not even be in same friendship group by the end of year 11, but just
remember the ones that stick around through the arguments and the bad times are
the ones you should cherish!
Secondly, year 11 isn’t the only important year. Although
when you’re in year 7 year 11 seems a long way off, everything you do from year
7 to year 9 contributes massively towards your knowledge in the options you
choose at GCSE level and although all the tests and assessments you do may seem
like a waste of time, remember that they’re not and they help you and your
teachers massively to know what level you’re at and where you need help.
Teachers will always have your best intentions at heart!
Spend MORE time concentrating in school and LESS time
worrying about your reputation and what people think of you. The only opinion
that matters is your own! So unless you have an issue with your appearance etc
then you shouldn’t care if anyone else has something to say about it. Wear what
you want and do whatever you like, because if you’re scared of what people
think, the chances are that they don’t really care.
Lastly, don’t wish your life away!! I spent so much time
wishing I was older as a kid, and I regret that a lot. As a child you don’t
realise how much is done for you and you end up taking childhood for granted. I
would do anything to go back to the days of being a child and not caring about
my future or my grades; purely because I didn’t have to worry about it back
then. Enjoy being young while you can because although you get more
opportunities when you’re older, you also have a lot of responsibilities to
worry about.
So to sum it up remember who your true friends are, education matters A LOT, be confident in anything you do and enjoy being young!
Introduction to our blog
Right here goes! So for a long time my friend and I have
been debating starting a blog. We didn't want to do it alone however so we
decided it would be a better idea for both of us to do it together.
We’re only doing this as a hobby and really do not expect anything from it. We’re just two girls looking for something new to do that we hope can bring some enjoyment to others!
We want to blog about as much as possible and would appreciate any ideas and feedback on things we can improve etc which you could feel free to leave in the comments.
It’s taken a lot of time to sort all of this out so please bear with us if it takes time for everything to get sorted out fully.
For personal reasons we don’t want to use our full names yet, so we will be using our initials to end things such as tweets and blog posts.
